Jane Powell DAVEY ¹

   Another name for Jane was Jane DAVIE.

  General Notes:

Surname of POWELL from christening of daughter Jessy on IGI - but birth certificate of son Frederick says the name is Davey!! The marriage matches as well. The birth reference, in the GRO index, for Jessie is Jessie Powell ROW !

I suspected that the IGI has mistranscribed the entry that probably says "Jessie Powell daughter of John Row and Jane". Thinking that Powell was the surname, rather than a second forename. This appears to be confirmed now as Jane Davey was the daughter of Abraham Davie and Harriet Powell.(see below)
