  General Notes:

Verdi Earnshaw had a live in housekeeper after his wife died (Mrs Eva Kathleen Davies, a widow). After his death she moved to Hastings (138 Marina, St Leonards, later 16 Wellington Square and finally 95A All Saints Street TN34 3BE) to be near her sister and husband (Mr & Mrs Satchell who lived at 14 Wellington Square.). Mrs Davies died in 1988

According to my father's address book, Mrs Davies had a second sister - Mrs Morteshead - who lived at 5 Cranleigh Close, Orpington, Kent - confirmed, except for spelling of surname

Other than a couple of specific bequests to his son Walter and grandson Jack he left everything to Mrs Eva Kathleen Davies in his will - "in appreciation of her great devotion and sacrifices during my many illnesses. I can never repay her courage and many kindnesses bestowed upon me. God bless her".
